Mini Summer Camp: July 16 - 20 for campers 8 years old and up!

Our goal is to encourage students to practice daily horse care, improve their riding skills, gain basic horsemanship and make lasting friendships. Ligonier Equestrian Center wants to take this opportunity to introduce its riders to one another. We feel that in addition to learning to ride, a child should learn how to care for a horse, as well as make friends with this common interest. For many of us, horses bring us great joy and great friends. It is important for our students to not only be great riders, but knowledgeable horsemen and women as well.  Contact us for more information on registering your camper!

We are a 170-acre equestrian facility and working farm located in the beautiful Ligonier Valley just east of Pittsburgh. Once a dairy farm, this exquisite property is currently being converted into an equestrian center. The dairy barn has been remodeled and contains 38 oak stalls (12 X12 and 10 X 12) along with 2 wash stalls. There is a 150 X 250 large outdoor arena and a small 133 X 66 dressage arena. An indoor arena is planned in the near future. We produce our own hay and oats.

Our dream when we designed the facility was to be able to introduce children to the joy of horseback riding. Our second dream was to be able to re-engage former riders who drifted from horses due to life's changes and re-introduce them to the joys of riding again. Our dreams are being realized, so we would like you to know that life with horses is only a dream away.
